A 2 Pack of Post filters to be used in conjunction with Super Sterasyl White ceramic filters. (will not fit the Black Berkey Filters).

This filter element is designed to reduce heavy metals, fluoride, color, Bromine, Pesticides, and chlorine/ chloramine in drinking water. The rate of adsorbtion is determined by contact time between the incoming water and time in the cartridge. Adsorption will vary dependent upon the contaminants aimed for removal. Some contaminants will be more easily filtered with low pH range, whilst others will be more effective at a higher level. Percentage of reductions will vary from 50% to 95% over the life of the filter element based on the level of contaminant (s) found in your water supply.

This add-on filter* is only to be used in conjunction with the ceramic filter elements contained in this gravity filter unit. The filters should be flushed upon installation, first supply of filtered water should be discarded after first run of these elements. These filters will last approximately 400 gallons or 6 months, upon regular daily usage. With these add-on filters installed, flow rate will drop considerably if water in the bottom container is above the half-way point.

INSTRUCTIONS

With ceramic elements installed (as instructions state), remove top container from bottom container and place upsidedown on a flat surface. Remove elements from packaging, along with plastic adaptor. Screw on plastic adaptor to the elements (pliers or wrench may be needed to ensure a tight fit). With ceramic elements installed, leaving the wing-nut and washer in place, screw the elements on to the exposed threaded end of the ceramic element in gravity filter. Re-assemble top container onto top container, as instructed, and unit is ready for use. As stated above, please discard first run of filtered water as there may be loose dust particles that can create an aftertaste. Once discarded, fill unit as normal and use as instructed.
